The End, A Storm to Mark it.
The rain patters softly now, as I glare into the psuedo light that is my LCD. Hearing thunder above me and seeing flashes all around, I know that this storm could easily represent the clash and on going struggle inside of me.
To move on... to stay here... to pretend that nothing is wrong and continue having a good time as if it will never end. Yet the summer will only start, and then it will eventually end, the coming of storms tells me that.
Now, a tornado watch, we--on the watch--for nature's fury sit in idle boredom. Not knowing where to look, what little can we do? The same in happening with my own personal relations, how can I spot the tornado when I've fast lost track of the horizon?
Another crash, lightning seares the sky. The same burning sensation rises in my chest each time I think of the love I've had for those I'll miss. But the rain must end and the storm must disperse, if it rained the same droplets in one place forever what experiences of the world could we possibly have?
So.. like the rain, I drift to the ground and with all the force that gravity gives me I try to defy being soaked up and carried away. At the same time I have to let go of the rain I was apart of now and be just another drop of the torrent I will help to form.
Such is the life of a student, after high school.
